Florida Keys Fishing Charters

Flats and Backcountry Light Tackle fishing in the Florida Keys:
Fishing in the Florida Keys varies from a simple day of snapper fishing in a quiet Florida Bay channel with your wife and kids to a one-on-one brawl with a 150 lb. tarpon screaming all the backing from your reel. The fish are all here, the choice is yours. The nearby flats that surround the Upper Keys hold bonefish, permit, tarpon, barracuda and sharks. These fish all readily eat lures and bait and will test your skills. The beautiful sights of the Everglades National Park are a short ride across Florida Bay and once there the fishing is spectacular! The list is varied from snook, redfish and sea trout to tarpon, snappers and HUGE sharks. At times, you can catch them all on one trip without really trying. So whether you are an experienced or hardcore angler to a first timer, Bamboo Charters has the experience, boat and know how to get you out there where they are.

Capt. Matt Bellinger offers charters to suit your needs.  Whether you are looking for laid back day on the water or a hard charging fish ‘til you drop kind of experience look no further. Trips can be arranged from 4 to 6 to 8 hours long.

This is one of my favorite pictures, from one of my favorite days on the water. Three generations of Hutson family men had a great day on the water. Bob, Brian, Jeff and Brandon caught and released a boat load of snook and huge redfish. Bob the leader of the pack taught everyone on the boat a thing or two about humility and snook fishing! Families like this make my job a huge joy. Also try to stand for grown men across the bow of most guide’s flats boats. . . you can’t do it.
